YSST Men finish 15th at YMCA Nationals

The YSST Men finished 15th at the YMCA National Championships held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on April 7-10, 2010.  There were over 230 teams and 1500 athletes at the meet.  YSST broke five team records and two North Carolina state records at the meet.  The team of Graham Williams, Sava Turcanu, Jake Pierce, and Joseph Lackey had a great week in Florida.  Graham finished 2nd in the 1650 Free (new team record and new North Carolina State record for the 15-16 age group), 4th in the 1000 Free (new team record and new North Carolina State record for the 15-16 age group), 5th in the 500 Free (new team record), and 21st in the 200 Free (new team record).  Sava Turcanu finished 6th in the 1650 Free, 8th in the 1000 Free (a new team record for about 6 hours before Graham swam), and 13th in the 500 Free.  The relay of Sava Turcanu, Graham Williams, Jake Pierce, and Joseph Lackey finished 32nd.  The team records have been updated as well as a new top times report for the season.  Congratulations to all four for their accomplishments at the meet!!
