IMPORTANT TIME CHANGES for the 55th Annual GSA Eastern Invitational

The 55th Annual GSA Eastern Invitational has over 600 swimmers registered for the meet.  See below for IMPORTANT TIME CHANGES AND MEET STRUCTURE changes for the weekend.

(1) They are converting the 400 IM and 400 free events to timed finals with the 40 (previously 32) fastest of each sex swum in the evening session, and all remaining 400m IM and 400m free entrants to be swum in the morning session.

(2) They are limiting the 1500m free to the 32 fastest entrants of each sex, 64 in total, with the fastest 16 of each sex being swum in the evening session, and the remaining 16 of each sex being swum in the morning session.  They will be swimming 2 per lane for all heats.

Positive check is required for all individual events 400m or longer.  Refer to the meet information for times.

(3) ******The morning session start times have been changed to 7am start from 7:30am , and the warm up times will start at 6am instead of 6:30am.  Warm up will end at 6:50am for the morning sessions.  Afternoon session start times and warm up will remain the same.

 Revised Time Schedule:                      Morning Preliminaries:

                                                                  Warm-ups        6:00 am to 6:50 am

                                                  Competition:    7:00 am

                                                  Afternoon timed finals:

                 Warm-ups        After the completion of morning session but not sooner than 12pm (noon) and ending 50 minutes afterwards

                                                                 Competition:    One hour after warm-ups begin, but not sooner that 1pm

                                                                 Evening finals:

                                                                 Warm-ups:       Not before 4:30 PM, but after the afternoon session.

                                                                 Competition:    One hour after warm-ups begin.

Warm-up procedure may be modified by the Referee on deck to adjust for existing conditions.
