YSST has 66 athletes registered for the 2014 WNCY October Opener on Saturday, October 4th in Marion, NC at the Corpening YMCA. Warm ups are at 1:00 pm with a 2:00 pm start. Click here to view the YSST entries.

Eight YSST swimmers were recognized at the North Carolina Swimming Awards Banquet in Cary, NC on September 27th. Congratulations to Ross Dant, Anna Durak, Emmaline Peterson, and Sava Turcanu for being named All-Stars. Congratulations to Sophia Cherkez, Faith Hefner, Maria Turcanu, and Nina Turcanu for their Top 5 final rankings. Olympic Gold medalist Tyler Clary was the speaker for the banquet.

Six YSST swimmers had IMX scores that surpassed team records this summer. Ross Dant set a new record for 13 year old males with a score of 4537. The previous record was held by Cory Spencer from 2010 with a score of 2718. Sophia Cherkez set a new record for 14 year old females with a score of 4389.
