Two team records were set at the 2013 Upper Southeast Regional YMCA Short Course Championships in Rock Hill. The 11-12 boys 200 back record was set in 1984 by Michael Cline (2:11.37). Ross Dant went 2:10.12 on Sunday. The 13-14 girls 200 IM record was set in 1986 by Cathy Burgess (now Coach Cathy Hitchcock) - 2:13.72. Sunday morning in prelims, Emmaline Peterson went 2:13.52. That record stood for 7 hours. In finals on Sunday night, Sophia Cherkez went 2:13.21. Congrats to all three for their accomplishments!!
The annual Spring Break for YSST will be the weeks of April 8th and 15th. There will be no practice for any group during those two weeks. Normal practices will resume on Monday, April 22nd.

The Greater YMCA Sunbelt Swimming Championships were held on March 1 - 3 in Hillsborough. Congratulations to the YSST team of Jaclyn Bowers, Polina Cherkez, Annamarie Eustice, Lauren Ferner, Ryan Ferner, Dylan Haas, Oakley Hullette, Ruth Hullette, Tobias Hullette, Paul Karre, Sydney Karre, Sarah Kulcsar, Mia Macon, Madison Rideout, Kirill Sakhonenko, Liza Sakhonenko, and Grace Simmons. The group achieved 28 new qualifying times for the Upper Southeast Regional YMCA Championships to be held in Rock Hill, SC on March 14-17.
