Congratulations to the YSST Masters National team of Mary Ellen Stephens, Heather Mills, Pat Van Meter, Tom Maguire, Kiran Harrill, Jody Inglefield, Jill Vanderfleet-Scott, and Rob Scott. They competed at the US Masters Swimming 2012 Spring Nationals in Greensboro, NC. The meet hosted close to 2,000 swimmers. The group had 14 Top Ten finishes, and 5 new state records. The 2012 Charlotte UltraSwim will be May 10-13. Sava Turcanu and Jake Pierce will be representing YSST at the meet. This is a USA Swimming Grand Prix meet that will have numerous Olympians attending. The IMX Team Records have been updated. YSST had 31 athletes participate for the 2011-2012 Short Course Season. Three new team records were set - Emmaline Peterson (12 yr old female), Marinela Procopii (16 yr old female), and Sava Turcanu (17 yr old male). Congratulations to the YSST 2012 YMCA Short Course National Team of Sami Alkoutami, David Glenn, Janie Kennedy, Jake Pierce, Marinela Procopii, and Sava Turcanu. 1,519 athletes represented 212 YMCA's from across the country at the meet. The YSST Men finished 25th, and YSST finished 38th in the combined category. The group achieved 14 lifetime best times and 7 top 25 performances.
